TOPIC: India travel - best route to RDU

I am planning a trip to Vadodara this summer. This is the first time I will be travelling from RDU.
Need advice on selecting the best route for travel. For the return trip, most of the options show a flight from India to Dubai or Abu Dhabi and then to JFK or Boston.

The layover at JFK or BOS is only about 2.5 hours. I think that it might not be enough for immigration and customs or if the international flight is delayed.

Would appreciate if you have any suggestions or could share any experiences.

Your concern centers around a 2.5 hr transit time when coming thru' JFK/ BOS. JFK will be tight, BOS should be easier. Depends on how many bags and babies you have in tow. If you come thru' AUH, you will be pre-cleared by US customs and immigration before you land in the US. If you want to be absolutely certain of not missing a domestic connection, get to RDU non-stop from LHR on AA or from CDG on DL.
