seller pays selling agent 6%. buyer agent gets half of that i.e., 3%. (desi home buyer gets half of that i.e., 1.5%.)

It depends on the seller who pays commission. As a Realtor, i can expect anywhere from 1% to 3% to be paid on the sale of a home. Feel free to contact me if you have more questions.
