TOPIC: DMV Road Test and Driving Lessons

Hi,

I'm a grad student here and I don't have an Indian driving license (so I can't rent a car). I have gotten a DMV Learners License. Is it possible to borrow a car from someone and give the road test? Also I would like some lessons first - but all the driving schools are very expensive.

Any advice would be appreciated.
