I think the main points are side lined here.
- Prime time slots are taken by bad numbers, jus tbecuase they are adult groups or teenage groups with latest hit bollowwod numbers. That is no qualification for getting good time slots.
- organizers should ban tank tops and black slacks , as costumes.
- organizers should reject Mom groups performing to sheela ki jawani numbers...

- Mom's and organizers should discourage their teenage kids making groups of six girls and performing bad numbers on family functions like this they set wrong example. Do not copy every aspect of bollwood. Copy the good ones let the rest be for films..not for family shows.

AT Moderators, it is best if you make the videos of full show. It is good for AT as it brings more visitors and in turn more advertisements and more money. If you cannot do it yourself, hire someone as it is worth the money. Not sure if anyoen will volunteer as there is no incentive for them. Just a suggestion.

Bravo Ultra Modern Mom, It is not orthodox mentality that is calling for decent dressing and decent song selections. We ultra orthodox moms just want to see decent and more creative performances from our charming Desi women.

Bollywood Hangama is not Indian culture. Period.

Certainly you can have your fun but please keep your fun numbers at home or for some event not designed to showcase Indian culture and especially where kids are in attendance. If you abhor censorship, start at home. Bet the kids would love the freedom from permissive parenting.

Mission statement is to get money from City of Raleigh. Don't read more into it. Real mission is something else. If you have been living in this area for soemtime, you would know it.

Any idea how much money was spent for bolloywood show in India fest? approximate figure is o.k. How much is given by govt and how much sponserers contribute?just curious.

So Non Profit is making money. Where does that money go? I feel it makes far more money. Other expenses are not 84K.

You know anything done to its style dressed to its style, and done to its style no one objects. All aspects of bollywood are no ones culture.. as all of you know...So please restrict. Bollywood has good fun numbers and good cultural numbers as well.. no one objects to those done in proper way... The other mom's group that performed Salsa was good. So no one objects to this.

But pure bollywood masala numbers, dressed in tank tops and black slacks is no ones culture. Please keep them away from family programs like this. it is not fun at all. it is difficult for as as it is to bring up kids, do not give them reasons to question more ...why cannot I do it..that aunty does it.. so show some responsibility here.

You think these kids are innocent ? This is United States of America...come on..come what may, you can't insulate your Ipad and all gizmo's expert kiddo from what Uncle's & Aunty's do. Let us not divert from the topic. If black slacks & tank tops irritates you then you need help. This event will be held every year and you all are going to attend the function every year if you happen to be in town and every time you will criticize it on similar lines..the show will carry on...black slacks will be shorter & tank tops will be tighter...all will have fun and merry go-round will be an yearly ritual. Now it's you but some time down the line your kids will be venting same opinions on this very forum..
